A DIFFERENT WAY TO DO EXCURSIONS
There are seven virtual tours with «Marjutin matkassa». Four excursions will take us to Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands. In addition, there are virtual tours to all the western Canary Islands.
Virtual tours are implemented on a zoom platform. The tour is a pre-recorded video of the destination’s points of interest and is live-guided. And after the tour you will have time for questions and conversation.
You can take part in the virtual tour from anywhere in the world. You can take part in the trip on an agreed day with other excursionists or you can buy a private trip as a gift for Christmas, birthdays or Mother’s Day. Private tours are also available for school groups or nursing homes.
The virtual tour is perfect for you who:
- want to explore the destination before you arrive
- will want to confirm the suitability of the resort before booking your trip.
- would like to travel, but you will not be able to, for example, for health reasons
- want destination information from a knowledgeable guide

SANTA CRUZ AND LA LAGUNA
METROPOLITAN AREA OF TENERIFE
The capital area of Tenerife (Santa Cruz and La Laguna) has a population of around 350,000. Santa Cruz is a rising tourist destination in Tenerife and La Laguna is the oldest town in Tenerife and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999.
On a virtual tour of the metropolitan area, you will see interesting places to visit in both cities.
NORTH TENERIFE
Northern Tenerife is known for its greenery. The Orotava Valley is one of the oldest tourist destinations in the Canary Islands.
On a virtual tour, we will visit several villages and towns in northern Tenerife: El Sauzal, La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz, Garachico, Icod de los Vinos and El Tanque
SOUTH TENERIFE
South Tenerife is the largest holiday destination on the island. Did you know that one of the oldest rocks on the island is near the tourist resorts of southern Tenerife? Southern Tenerife is much more than just a beach holiday destination.
Visiting destinations for the virtual tour of southern Tenerife include Masca, Santiago del Teide, Candelaria, Güimar, Adeje, Arona and Vilaflor.
TEIDE NATIONAL PARK
Tenerife’s nature is very diverse and the island’s landscape is dominated by the volcano Mount Teide. The road trip is nature-oriented.
Excursion topics include the birth of the islands, the volcanoes, the national park and its visitor centers. You will also hear about the fauna of Tenerife and see the flowering national park. The advantage of a virtual tour is that you can travel long distances in a short time, so on your trip you will see all the historical volcanoes, meaning volcanoes with an eruption with written history. I will also tell you about the last volcanic eruption in the Canary Islands, which took place on the island of La Palma in the autumn of 2021.
LA GOMERA
La Gomera is one of the smallest Canary Islands. Gomera is very mountainous and although the distances by air are short, by car it takes a long time to fold.
On the Gomera virtual tour you can visit all the municipalities in the island, hear the whistling language protected by UNESCO and of course we hike in the Lauri Silva forest. In addition, you can see what the Gomera golf course is like.
This excursion is a good choice if you are going on a holiday in Gomera.
LA PALMA
La Palma is also known as La Isla Bonita – a beautiful island.
A virtual tour of La Palma will take you to the capital, Santa Cruz de la Palma, we will also visit the salt pools and the volcano of San Antonio. La Palma has the Caldera de Taburiente National Park and there the top of the island is about 2500 mmpy Roque de Muchachos, from there we admire the neighboring islands. La Palma also has a magnificent Lauri Silva forest with waterfalls.

EL HIERRO
El Hierro is the least known of the large Canary Islands.
The nature of El Hierro is also magnificent with its curved junipers and steep slopes. On a virtual tour, we conquer the top of the island and admire the rocky beaches with enchanting coves for swimmers and snorkelers.
On the El Hierro tour, we visit all three municipalities on the island.
Now El Hierro is easy to reach too!
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
- You can register for the trip by sending an e-mail to info@marjut.es.
- In the message, tell us which trip and how many ZOOM connections you want
- You will receive a confirmation, payment instructions and cancellation policy in the return mail
- You will receive the link and instructions for the trip no later than the day before the trip.
- If you want a private trip, tell us in the message what kind of group is participating, what the trip is of interest and what the possible dates and approximate time would be.
- You get the best connection if you have a high-speed broadband and cable connection on your computer.
- If your computer or tablet is connected to Wi-Fi, it’s a good idea to temporarily turn off other devices using the same Wi-Fi (TV, playstation, Netflix, etc.) and if the picture breaks, it’s also a good idea to turn off Wi-Fi from your phone (unless you are following the tour from your phone).
- Turning off the camera from your own zoom also improves connectivity.
- If you are watching the trip on your phone and you do not have a Wi-Fi connection, please check that you are at least 4G online and have full bars.
- You are not in traffic when you are following the tour.
